Epoxy river surfaces
Our river tables are cast with deep-pour epoxy, then sanded and polished by hand. The surface is hard and waterproof — it only asks for gentle cleaning and reasonable temperatures.
Cleaning epoxy
A soft cloth with warm water and a drop of dish soap covers everything from fingerprints to dried spills.
Skip abrasive sponges, scouring powder and ammonia cleaners. They leave micro-scratches that slowly cloud the polished river.
Heat and gloss
Epoxy is durable but prefers temperatures under 120°F (50°C) — use trivets and placemats for anything straight off the stove.
If the gloss dulls after years of daily use, the surface can be machine re-polished back to full depth. Write to us and we will explain the options.
